Information on data protection according to Art. 13 DSGVO

The protection of your personal data is important to us, which is why we would like to inform you here about the purpose for which UniApp collects, stores or forwards your data. The information can also tell you what rights you have regarding your personal data.

2. Data categories, purpose and legal basis of data processing

When using our app, we collect those personal data that the app transmits to our server and that are technically necessary to display the requested data to you and to ensure stability and security (the legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO):

The storage of the aforementioned data in so-called server log files is done to ensure the functionality of the website and also serves to optimize the application and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. User profiles are not created. With the exception of the e-mail address and display data, the data is deleted after 35 days. The collection of data for the provision of the app and the storage in server log files is mandatory for the operation of the app (especially the prevention of misuse). The user has no option to object to this data.

In order to be able to clearly assign an ad to a person and thus avoid misuse, the university email address must be provided when placing an ad.

3. Storage of your data

We store your personal data only as long as it is necessary to prevent misuse. With the exception of the university e-mail address and the advertisement data, the data will be deleted no later than 1 month after collection, provided that no other legitimate interests of the controller oppose deletion. The Uni email address and the display data linked to it will be deleted at the latest after one year of non-use of the app.

4. Recipients of your data

Only those persons within the university have access to your data who require this for the proper operation of the server. No data will be passed on to third parties.

5. Your rights as a data subject

To protect your personal data, you have the following rights:

You also have the right to contact the competent supervisory authority for data protection if you believe that the processing of your personal data is not lawful. The supervisory authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.

6. Revocation of consent to the storage of your data

According to Art. 7 DSGVO, you have the right to revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. To do so, please contact us by email at app@uni-ulm.de.
